Am I seeing things or is hole 4 a bit large?

Odd base.

What the heck is that?

Looks as if someone supersized the tinker toys.

This one's from Scott:
I found the Texas plans on the net (http://www.centxdglove.com/) a while back and it inspired my design. (Along with a few other designs i found on the net) The beauty of this basket was the cost....$0.00....

I had a 4X4 pole in my backyard that an old neighbor had used to display one of his art pieces. I whittled the middle down to about 2 inches. I found an old tire across the street and carefully cut the sidewall out. The chains were scrap from my girlfriends work. The rest was old lumber and piping laying around the house.

I plan on later modifiying it into a portable PVC basket and adding more chains; it only has 12 right now. I'll send more pics if I ever get it done. This basket has greatly improved my putting from 20-30 feet, but my yard isn't large enough for much more. It's not worthy of your site but I'm still proud of my baby. (My "course" is Scott's Putt and Puff- 9 holes 250 ft)

Dude....this is way worthy of this site! This is what this site is all about. I'm especially stoked this cost nothing to build. I haven't yet heard of anyone building a basket for free so this is certainly an accomplishment. Thanks for the submission. Happy Putting!

Ymir, B.C.

Canada rocks! Here 's a scene from the Ymir Whirl Disc Golf Course....which to me looks rugged and mean...but hey, isn't that what it's all about?

Some kind of wind chime target I think:

Now that's some kind of target!......just make sure you wipe off all of the mayo and diaper soilings before you take that next shot.

Jack sent in this unique basket. I love the spigot at the top!

If you love disc golfing in Santa Cruz you have to check out his kick-ass blog about De La!

I'm not into making fun of people's disc golf ideas cause I exist in a glass house but when I came across this one I couldn't resist:

Hey, I'm interested in making a course around my neighborhood, using natural objects as the tee boxes and holes. However, I don't have any discs, and am not particurally interested in buying them, so I'm using frisbees instead. How far would an average par 3/4/5 be with a regular frisbee?

Uhhhhhh, That looks to me like a par 1 and how bout I'll mail you a disc free of charge?

I've spent a lot of time this month focusing on targets...so I guess the title of the site doesn't seem to fit. That's okay though. Targets, baskets....whatever it takes to enjoy the flying moments of life. Precious moments that I savor.

My recent change in focus has much to do with my desire to build a guerilla course in my neck of the woods. I'm researching the cheap ideas that will work on the land I borrow. I'm also looking to establish courses elsewhere that risk being torn down.

My other big reason for targets is that I haven't put much effort during the past two weeks toward finding baskets on the internet. I've caught a lot that's out there and I know there is more put my time seems to be at a premium these days....such as life. Send me those jpegs so I don't have to do the dirty work.

I think I need to retire so I can put more energy into becoming the disc golfer I want to be.
